The Playbook

You are chasing approval from people who will die.

And so will you.

Every version of yourself you've suppressed to fit someone else's expectations — every opinion you performed for, every identity you shrunk to earn acceptance — dies with them anyway.

None of it transfers.

So why spend the one life you have being someone else?

The obsession with approval feels like safety. Like if enough people validate you, you've done something right. But all it actually does is keep you miserable in someone else's story, playing a character you never auditioned to be.

The people whose approval you're chasing? They're navigating their own fears. Their own insecurities. Their own performance for a crowd that won't remember them either.

Nobody gets out of this with their reputation intact forever.

What you do get — if you choose it — is a life that was actually yours.

Your identity is the solution to your problems.

Not their expectations. Not the version of you that's easier for everyone else to digest.

You. Decided. On purpose.

First, decide who you want to be.

Then go live it — on your terms, no one else's.

Life is finite. Stop auditioning.
