Your mindset impacts how your brain responds to a mistake.

Did You Know?
Don’t hold it in—write it down. Why? Because doing so can benefit your physical health, psychological well-being, and overall life performance. These findings are supported by Dr. Joshua Smyth, Professor of Clinical Psychology at The Ohio State University, in his meta-analysis titled “Written Emotional Expression: Effect Sizes, Outcome Types, and Moderating Variables” published in the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology. In his study, individuals were instructed to write expressively about stressful or traumatic experiences to evaluate the health impacts. The results supported a promising, low-cost, and accessible intervention that can improve multiple aspects of one’s well-being. Positive health impacts included lowered anxiety and depression, improved mood, reduced stress, and overall greater life satisfaction. So, when you experience stress or trauma, write it down—it may help!
To Building Fortitude.
Warm regards,
Colin Jonov CEO & Founder, Athletic Fortitude
