The Fortitude Chronicle: A Weekly Digest of Athletic Determination
Dear Fortitude family,
Welcome back to my midweek motivation! Each day and week brings its own set of experiences and inspirations, compelling me to share my thoughts with all of you.
I'm excited to share my top picks of the week from social media, and I encourage everyone to send in the posts that inspire you. There's a wealth of amazing content out there that deserves recognition! As our community expands, I'll make sure to highlight the submissions that resonate with all of us. Let's keep sharing and growing together!

The Playbook
Everyone wants an opportunity. Few are ready for one.
"I just need an opportunity" is the most common lie athletes tell themselves.
Because the opportunity isn't the problem. Preparation is.
Opportunities don't show up and wait for you to get ready. They arrive unannounced, often disguised, almost always inconvenient — and they expose exactly who you are in that moment. Not who you planned to be. Not who you were working toward being. Who you are.
The athlete who spends every day quietly becoming — developing their craft, sharpening their mind, building their identity — doesn't chase opportunities. They attract them. And when one finally lands in front of them, they don't freeze. They're ready.
There's a version of you that's spent years waiting for the door to open.
And there's a version of you that's spent years making sure that when it does, you can actually walk through it.
The first version hopes.
The second version prepares.
Stop asking for the opportunity.
Start becoming someone who can do something with it when it comes.
Because it's coming. The question is — will you be ready?
This Week
To Building Fortitude.
Warm regards,
Colin Jonov CEO & Founder, Athletic Fortitude
