A leader who consistently blames an external force—the refs, the market, the parents—is sending a quiet, deadly message to their team: "We are not in control of our own destiny." It's a subtle but complete abdication of responsibility.

Did You Know?
“If we stop to notice moments of pleasure – a flower poking up through the sidewalk, a puppy experiencing snow for the first time, a child’s hug – we have a resource for more joy.” (Salzberg S. Real happiness: The power of meditation. New York, NY: Workman Publishing; 2011.)
Being mindful and savoring the moment are two distinct concepts and, when combined, influence mindfulness and the ability to savor the moment—which directly impacts positive emotions and future emotional well-being. Positive emotions in everyday life are important beyond their immediate impact, as this study proves. Intentionally taking time to savor good times, rather than to brush off, downplay, or even ignore, will positively improve your mental health over time.
To Building Fortitude.
Warm regards,
Colin Jonov CEO & Founder, Athletic Fortitude
